Mr. Bolden’s dynamic speech: “Don’t Give Up! Success is an Option!” is motivating youth across the country to embrace self- pride, self-respect and self-determination. Mr. Bolden tells youth that it’s time to “pull up your saggin’ pants”, set goals for your future and stop buying into concepts, products and behaviors that have alienated, incarcerated and derailed the success of many youth, particularly African American males. Many view society as being negligent in its responsibility to provide effective role models for our children. Brian Bolden has stepped up to the plate and dedicated his life to positively empowering youth to make choices that guarantee their success. He is a dynamic life coach (mentor), motivational speaker and author who is changing the mindset of our youth and mentoring them to self-respect, self-fulfillment and self-reliance in a positive, nurturing manner.
The motivational speech and mentoring program is well received by people of all races and religions. During the speech, the youth are given life lessons and coached on how to become successful by following these steps:
- Believe in Yourself!
- You must develop a plan for your future
- Set goals for yourself
- Remain committed to your goal or plan
- Strive for perfection is great motivation
- Keep distractions to a minimum
- Maintain a winner's attitude
- Discipline yourself and reject non-productive friends
- Find a positive role model to mentor you
- Be willing to make sacrifices in order to achieve your goals
- No excuses! Excuses don't excuse and explanations don't explain
